Heaven Hill releases the wonderful Elijah Craig Barrel Proof bourbon just three times a year, and this here is one of those delicious releases. This particular bottling weighs in at a generous 65.7% ABV, which is actually towards the lower end of the range of releases. Certainly don’t be afraid to add a splash of water to enjoy this one!
Nose: Creamy fudge and oodles of caramel, with maple syrup pancakes and fresh mint.
Palate: A creamy mouthfeel, with floral oak, barrel spice and fruit and nut chocolate.
Finish: Jammy cherry, mint chocolate and a peppery finish.
