From Ian Macleod’s As We Get It range comes a single malt from an undisclosed distillery in the Highlands. As you could likely guess from the name, they bottle the whisky as it arrive from the distillery – with not additional colours, chill-filtration or amendments to the ABV. This one has been bottled at 64%.
Nose: Earthy vanilla and forest floor richness, with sweetness developing from caramel notes.
Palate: Fruitier than the nose suggests, with green apple, pear and a hint of Sherry.
Finish: Peppercorn, hazelnut and butterscotch.
