An independently bottled Ledaig single malt, distilled in 1999 and set aside to age until 2015, when Gordon & MacPhail bottled it as part of their Connoisseurs Choice range. Lovely, peaty Island whisky ahoy.
Ledaig 1999 (bottled 2015) – Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon & MacPhail)
Nose: Toasted pine nuts, heavy smoke and a hint of nettle tea.
Palate: A creamy note of vanilla and butterscotch arrives first. Notes of clove and smoky peat.
Finish: Sea breeze lingers on the finish.
