Indie Indian whisky here, distilled by John Distilleries in Goa! This peated single malt was matured in a single bourbon barrel from 2009 to 2015 before being bottled by Malts of Scotland with an outturn of 156 bottles.
Paul John 2009 (bottled 2015) (cask 15068) – Malts of Scotland
Nose: Buttered malt loaf, struck match, cracked black pepper and toffee.
Palate: Peaty smoke arrives first, before being followed by orange oil and yet more toffee.
Finish: Barrel char and a pinch of cinnamon.
