This is a rather swish bottling of Ardmore single malt, distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2016 by Gordon & MacPhail. It was released as part of the Distillery Labels series, and features a wonderfully retro label. They don’t make ’em this that any more (well, apart from for this bottling range, but you understand what we were saying…).
Nose: Honey-nut cornflakes, cured ham and a pinch of cinnamon.
Palate: Dried fruit notes rush up to the fore, swiftly followed by more meaty malt.
Finish: Lasting salinity.
