A 2002 vintage single malt from the Bowmore distillery on Islay, bottled by Italian indie bottler, Samaroli! It was bottled in 2017, and only 380 bottles were produced. A restrained expression – not lazy by any means, but well-balanced and immensely enjoyable.
Nose: Hot apple crumble, crisp white wine, a hint of sea breeze and menthol.
Palate: A robust helping of earthy peat arrives on the palate first, joined by chocolatey malt and a touch of blackberry.
Finish: Dark chocolate mousse, oatcakes, resinous pine.
