Smashing single barrel bourbon from the ever-dependable Evan Williams range, owned by Heaven Hill. This particular bottling was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2016. Always top stuff, and great value-for-money to boot!
Evan Williams Single Barrel 2008 (bottled 2016)
Nose: Nectarines, gingerbread and layers of rich butterscotch.
Palate: Woody spiciness takes shape on the palate, with earthy clove and a hint of nutmeg. Still packed with toffee and fresh orchard fruit notes.
Finish: Peppercorn, toasted bread with Nutella, a little bit grassy.
