Bottled in August 2015 this Longmorn single malt was matured in a single hogshead for 24 years (very nearly 25, having been filled in September 1990). This is a distillery that has many ’in the know’ fans, but you may be used to plenty of Sherry – this bottling shows off the distillery character that’s so important to all their single malts.
Nose: Rich barley, dried grass, linseed, shortbread, cedar with touches of jam, mixed peels, mead and melon.
Palate: Malt, rye toast and pastries, more melon as well as vanilla and green apple.
Finish: Buttered toast.
