A high-strength addition to the Tamdhu range. Tamdhu Batch Strength was introduced in early 2015, boasting a richly Sherried flavour profile owing to the maturation taking place exclusively in American and European oak Sherry casks. It’s presented at a generous 58.8% ABV and bottled without chill-filtration or additional colours. A superb Speysider with an intense, sweetly-spiced character. Nose: Wafts of dark chocolate and Sherry-soaked raisins, with a touch of crushed walnut. Fragrant oak-y spices develop.
Palate: Red berry sweetness as the palate opens, soon developing cracked black pepper and cinnamon spiciness. Waxy orange peels, vanilla pod and demerara sugar in the background.
Finish: Toast with a thin layer of marmalade and more red berries.
