This unique fruity whisky is the work of the G. Miclo distillery, and has spent just over four years matring in Burgundy and Sauternes casks. Then, it was finished for eight months in barrels which previously held the distillery’s very own ! Only 1,271 bottles were produced, released as part of the Welche’s Whisky range at 54.3% ABV. It’s almost like this was made for a Rob Roy.
Nose: Blackberry jam, fresh juicy cherry and dried fruit, with dark chocolate, tobacco and fresh malt.
Palate: Cherry jam and juicy forest fruits, with hazelnut praline, dusty cocoa and a touch of citrus peel.
Finish: Citrus blossom lingers alongside oily nuts and a new leather.
